The dessolution of this ego

He feeds me to those hungry lions

He serves me on a golden platter

It is verily Him that takes the lion form

To devour me bit by bit

Until there is no more me

There is only Him.

All Fear is Baseless - a conversation in chat

me:  All fear is baseless.
Do you agree?
 Viks:  maybe
 me:  oh maybe
tell me a fear that is not baseless?
Viks:  what do you mean by baseless? i need to undestand that we understand the word in the same context
me:  All fear is baseless. It is groundless, unwarranted, unfounded. Get to the root of the fear and you will find there is no cause for it.

 me:  so do u agree?

 me:  There is pure love
and then there is fear
all fear is baseless
hence there is only love
 Viks:  no i dont agree
me:  tell me a fear that is not baseless
Viks:  there may be a cause for concern that transforms into a fear of what an outcome or event may lead to
me:  fear of a future possibility
the future is a dream
it is not real
only the present is real
hence the fear is baseless
Viks:  if you are saying a fear that is not baseless...then you are saying that there is a fear of some substance
and which i will agree
me:  i am saying there is not cause for fear
so all fear is baseless
 Viks:  dont agree
Viks:  there is cause for fear
me:  tell me a fear that is not baseless?
Viks:  if someone is sick and a concerned other person know that the sick is going for a test and there is a possibility of the sick having cancer for eg. then the concerned ones fear will be based on the result of the test being negative for cancer
me:  okay fear of sickness and death
 Viks:  yeah
me:  is a fear based on what?
that death is the end all and be all
 Viks:  is that an exclusion?
 me:  no
death is the ultimate fear
it is based on a false identification with the body
the body must die
everybody dies
self is indestructible
hence the fear is baseless
Viks:  that death of the other will lead to one being in emotional pain and not knowing how life would be without the sick
 me:  fear of attachment
fear of suffering the loss of another person
the fear is baseless
Viks:  agreed but that is now at another level and not a simple level of understanding
 me:  there are no levels
i am talking abt the root of all fears
the root of all fears
are based on a false identification of self
and that is false
hence all fears are baseless
there are no levels

 Viks:  oh
me:  the dead are free from bondage
the living fear loss because of attachment
 Viks:  agree
me:  attachment is based on the false notion of body identification
which we all suffer from
until we realise we are not this body
we are limitless self
one with all
until then we will fear
but that fear is baseless

Viks:  okay ...i cant read all this now.
busy with a report
 me:  hahahaha
so u submit

Viks:  am i supposed to have a diffrent opinon
me:  "Viks:  no i dont agree"
apparantly u had a different opinion
but it was baseless
lol
Viks:  oh that is why i said we need to have a common understanding
me:  in other words u submit

 Viks:  mmmmm...not in your text
me:  dont be afraid to admit that u submit
ur fear is baseless
lol

I am not the body, I am not the mind

I am not the body, I am not the mind.
I am not the senses, I am not these thoughts,
Yet I observe the pain and pleasure of this body,
I watch the joy and distress of these emotions,
I take pleasure in the comforts of the body.
I am trapped in the limitations of this body.
I watch intellect in action.
I watch the mind rambling in madness.
Are these my tools to stillness?

They say the body is nothing and will soon turn to ash.
They also say the body is your temple, it houses the soul.
So should one ignore the body and its desires?
Or should one get lost in what the body has to offer?
Everything is as it should be right?
So why am I given this body
if not to enjoy it and nourish it and groom it and love it?

Questions, questions and more questions of the mind.
Let me stop thinking, and just get lost in the flow of eternity
and whatever this moment has to offer.
My experience of this moment happens to be through this body.

Let me be fully present and enjoy the warm sun on my skin,
and the soft whisper of wind against my cheeks.
This is Shakti experiencing Shakti.
Who cares what will become of this body?
For now, it is my portal to stillness.

It cant be long now

Stillness is becoming easier to access
and the gaps between thoughts are increasing.
Sensual perceptions are hightening
and joy flows so easily.
Acceptance, allowance, surrender.
I welcome them as dearest friends.
"It can't be long now," I think.
What am I waiting for?
This moment is perfect.
There is nothing lacking.
All is as it should be.
Then the thoughts return.
"It can't be long now," I think.
"Can't you see that I am already there?"

These words are insufficient

These words are insufficient
to explain infinite expansiveness
These words are inadequate
to tell you about the depth of this love
These words are insubstantial
to convey this reality
Mere words are unqualified
to pay homage to this beauty
Yet still, I find myself wanting to share this
How can I keep it to myself?
